Karns, TN the perfect blend of city and country! Karns, originally known as a farming area called Beaver Ridge, is now an unincorporated community of over 19,000 residents in Knox County. It's a community that boasts of a small town feel with just the right mix of businesses and shopping, schools and subdivisions, farms and large beautiful pastures. There are several new and seasoned businesses and restaurants.

Karns Community Park

Just a couple of years ago, the Karns community opened a new, all-inclusive playground that is recognized as the only one of its kind in Knox County. The park has numerous attractions like a 20x20 ft playhouse with musical instruments, a musical garden, slides, padded artificial turf and even a wheelchair accessible swing. It features 4 baseball fields, a community building, concessions, a picnic table, playground, pool, and walking loop.

Harrell Road Stormwater Park

The park consists of both naturally occurring and man-made wetlands, lowlands, and ridges. The 11-acre park features 4,000 feet of gravel pathways, 100 trees and interpretive signs along the paths that explain the various green practices in the park. It also includes the Beaver Creek Water Trail, a 6-mile stretch of Beaver Creek, running from Harrell Road Stormwater Demonstration park to the Northwest Sports Complex and is a mix of light rapids and peaceful, placid water.

The Sundress Academy for the Arts

A writers retreat on a 45-acre farm in Knoxville, Tennessee that offers short-term residencies to writers in all genres including poetry, fiction, nonfiction, journalism, screenwriting, academic writing, and more. Terry Vargo - Private Music Lessons, Music, and Performance

Terry has been teaching Piano Lessons, Voice Lessons, and Guitar lessons in the Lenoir City, Farragut area since 2009. Knoxville Martial Arts Center

The Knoxville Martial Arts Center started in late 2012 as a cooperative of different martial arts schools all under one roof focused on teaching traditional martial arts, while applying modern day self-defense techniques. At the Center we believe in training without the need for ego or the hyper-competitive focus on trophies.The schools work together in all aspects of the Center from painting and general maintenance to workshops where all students of the center regardless of school get to try out what the other schools have to offer. Even though we work together as much as possible each school is allowed the freedom to dictate what and how it wants to approaching teaching its particular style. The styles offered are as follows: Aikido, Budo Taijutsu, Iaido, Isshin-Jujitsu, Isshin-Ryu Karate, and Shaolin Kung-Fu.
