About
Fountain City has a small town feel with all the conveniences of the big city!
Fountain City is located in North Knoxville close to the Halls and Powell communities. Downtown Knoxville isn't far away via Broadway, which allows for an easy commute to various shops and low-key diners, pizzerias, and Mexican eateries, alongside bars offering craft beer and live music. This area is home to Fountain City Lake or more commonly referred to as the "Duck Pond," and Fountain City Park, which stretches across 12 acres. A few shops in the area sell bicycle and outdoor gear to the area's avid road bikers. Here, you'll find affordable, mostly single family homes and some apartments and townhomes. The homes here tend to be older and well established, some dating back to the 1940s. Fountain City hosts some excellent antique stores, as well as several local favorite restaurants such as Litton's and the Fountain City Diner. There's also the popular Rita's Bakery, which is just down the street from our North office location. Of course, no trip to North Knoxville would be complete without a stop at Pratt's Country Store to buy locally grown plants and vegetables and locally raised meats.
