Named the fifth-best place to live in Tennessee by Movoto, Farragut is home to a wide variety of shopping from large retail chains and small boutiques, as well as a healthy mix of corporate restaurant chains and smaller restaurants. Housing in Farragut ranges from apartments to condos, family neighborhoods, and luxury homes. In addition, there is an array of houses on the lake for those who enjoy lake living.
 
Farragut is also home to multiple parks, including Anchor Park, Mayor Bob Leonard Park, and Campbell Station Park. Other popular outdoor activities include golfing at one of the many golf courses and lake activities.

The Town's newest park is a 26-acre multi-use facility featuring green elements including solar panels, permeable pavers, LED lighting, bioswales / rain gardens, and natural light in the restrooms. Features: 2 lighted rectangular fields, paved and lighted walking trails, 2 picnic pavilions with grills, ADA accessible lighted playground, 2 restrooms, and a splash pad.

Founders Park at Campbell Station

This 17-acre green space features lighted walking paths, outdoor sculptures & picnic pavilions. Park facilities include: A community heritage trail with 8 pieces of sculpture, 2 picnic pavilions with grills, a restroom, benches, open play areas, a lighted paved walking trail (2/5 mile) with an additional unlighted paved trail on the west side of Turkey Creek (2/3 mile loop), and mulch walking trails (1/4 mile in 5 segments).

Farragut Folklife Museum

The Farragut Museum is a treasure chest of artifacts and photographs, which tell the history of the Farragut and Concord communities. One of the highlights of the museum is the Admiral David Glasgow Farragut collection. Admiral Farragut was born in this area on July 5, 1801. The museum also exhibits artifacts pertaining to the history of local schools, churches, the Farragut and Concord communities, and the Civil War. In addition to the permanent displays, the museum has a gallery dedicated to rotating special exhibits.
